Robert Manaois is a member of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church and part of the pastoral counsel in that congegation. Pastor Jared and Sis. Elna met him, and his wife Jeena, in 2001 after they visited LBBC and shared fellowship with their pastor, Reuben Abante. While in transit on a business trip to the UK, Bro. Robert graciously took time to minister the Word of God to Bethesda. He spoke from the Book of Nehemiah and challenged God’s people to continue building His church while at the same time protecting the fellowship from the evil ones. Bro. Robert was accompanied by two more Lighthouse members, Carol and Tina. Praise God for the blessings!

We are pleased to announce our Special Services for Christmas and the New Year. There will be a celebration of the birth of Christ on Sunday 21 December. This will be followed by a Christmas Eve Dinner on the 24th and a Christmas Day Lunch on the 25th. On Sunday the 28th, we will celebrate the blessings God bestowed during 2008 with two thanksgiving services. This will be followed by a Watch Night Service on the 31st. Registration is required for all mid-week events.

A website has been established for Pastor Paulo, Maria and Jennifer to keep everyone informed about his condition. Special prayer meetings will be held at Bethesda tonight, Thursday 30 Oct and Friday 31st Oct at 7pm.

What a tremendous blessing it was to have the World renowned gospel singer Assíria Nascimento, wife of the legendary footballer Pelé, perform for Bethesda at the end of her London Tour 2007. Assíria shared her testimony and gift to a capacity crowd (not to mention a few members of the press). Our thanks and prayers for Assíria and her team for this wonderful ministry. www.assiria.com.br

What a wonderful time the children had this year! Activities over the two days included singing, games, lessons on how to paint portraits, Origami, and football lessons from our resident professional, Pastor Paulo Cezar! Stay tuned for upcoming activity dates for children at Bethesda.
